An Emergency Procedures Guide is prominently displayed in each classroom. This guide addresses a variety of crisis situations and indicates the appropriate response to be taken by staff and students. All Kent Island Elementary School employees review these procedures and are kept informed of any new procedures throughout the school year.

Our school principal will be speaking with all classes during morning announcements, and each classroom teacher will reinforce with their students the importance of following directions in the event of any type of emergency. We will conduct a practice of each type of drill in the upcoming weeks.
